I have designed several logos and additional identity materials in the course of my professional work. Here are some examples:
Launching in early 2008, JD Supra is an innovative web startup that enables legal professionals to share their documents and expertise, connecting them with each other and with those who seek legal counsel.
The logo and resulting brand identity seeks to convey the fresh look of a Web 2.0 company while avoiding the cliches of so many other online identities. This was accomplished through clean typography and by staying away from the more trite colors that we find in these types of companies (lime greens and cool blues come to mind).
Key Concepts Expressed:
“Tonka Development Company acquires, develops and operates real estate with a focus on revitalizing the urban core and long term sustainability.”
The identity posed challenges in its encapsulation of what seem to be opposites: Urban Development vs. Nature, Modern Methodology vs. Established Experience.
The final design uses solid, bold shapes to convey the the Urban and Established concepts, while using color in a fresh way to depict Nature and Modernity.
