Art, Science, Technology, Culture, Life.

Navin Prasad

There's always more to learn about these things, and they constantly influence each other.

A fascination with the intersection of art and science has followed me all my life. I can never be immersed in one too long without starting to long for the other. In a way, they're both sides of one coin (or as a Zen master might put it, there is no both!). An iconic image and an elegant mathematical formula are simple and beautiful in the same way.

My goal is a career path that will let me use and build upon my diverse interests.

Whatever the project is, I need to be challenged creatively. Once I am, I'll be working hard! Look through my resume and portfolios, and feel free to drop me a line.

About This Website:

The site is coded from scratch using valid XHTML Strict 1.0; certain sections employ XHTML Transitional in order to integrate with the Movable Type blog platform in a standards-compliant manner.

The blog system is built using the free Single User License of Movable Type, with an original template written expressly for this site.

The navigation is implemented entirely through CSS (with a dollop of JavaScript for IE6), and is based on the concept of SuckerFish Dropdowns as described by Patrick Griffiths and Dan Webb, originally published on A List Apart.

All art assets are original and were created using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Many images that appear on this site are in PNG format, optimized using PngOptimizer by Hadrien Nilsson.
